Here Are Steam’s Most-Played Games Of 2021

Steam will be closing the books on the top 20 most played games in 2021. You can view the whole list by clicking the link below. Check out the following list to see some of our favorite games that Steam gamers have invested their time in. 

With more than 100,000 peak players, the top news games, such as Valheim and New World, are the ones that started it all. Some of the old favourites make an appearance as well, like Grand Theft Auto V (Dota 2), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 (Dota 2). Perhaps most surprising is Cyberpunk 2077 appearing in the top spot – somewhat shattering the illusion that CD Projekt Red’s most recent game was an overall disaster. Cyberpunk 2077 is still being played by many people more than one year after its release. 

Capcom’s Resident Evil Village, which has over 100,000 players at peak, makes an appearance. Battlefield 2042 and Farming Simulator 22 also make an appearance. There are many games you would expect to find here, including Among Us (Rocket League), Destiny 2 and Dead by Daylight. 

Phasmophobia and Sea of Thieves are just a few of the more than 60,000 top players. Not to be overlooked, Left 4 Dead 2, The Witcher3: Wild Hunt and Fallout 4 Dying Light all enjoyed big years with more than 35,000 players in 2021.
