Halo TV show trailer: A new twist on Master Chief’s story for Paramount Plus
It has been a long time since I saw the light. Halo Paramount Plus is about to end its TV series. According to the latest trailer, the Paramount Plus series will air on Paramount Plus on March 24, 2012. Microsoft and Paramount Plus released the series’ first full trailer during the NFL’s AFC Championship game on Sunday, giving us a preview of Master Chief, Cortana, and the Covenant.
You’d expect all of the usual Halo footage, such as Master Chief kickin’, Cortana speaking to Master Chief and Elites that look terrifying. But it also opens up plenty of questions about what exactly this series’ story is going to be about and just how drastically different it will be from the games.
343 Industries has published a long post stating that the following: Halo TV show’s story is set to loosely follow the events of the games … sort of. This story will be part of what’s called the “Silver timeline,” which is similar to the games, but not exactly the same.
Long-time Halo players should immediately be able to see the divergences. This universe has multiple Spartans alive around the time of the first game, we see a glimpse of the Prophets right away, the Halo ring from the first game is even apparently a discovery of the Master Chief’s rather than something everyone stumbles upon by accident. In 343’s blog post, it mentions that many elements of the backstory are still the same, but it seems that there are plenty of changes even if that’s the case.
Halo Kane wrote and Kyle Killen developed the series. Natascha McElhone stars as Dr. Catherine Halsey; Bokeem Whitebine plays Soren-066, Kate Kennedy portrays Kai-125 and Natasha Culzac is Riz-028, along with Ryan McParland and Charlie Murphy.
