The show’s second season may be guaranteed but not everything is staying the same. Showrunner Kyle Kane will be leaving the series, as previously stated. Paramount’s TCA panel announced that David Wiener was (Homecoming, The Killing) will take over as season 2’s showrunner.

Halo getting a second season nearly six weeks before the first debuted shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Amazon has both renewed the first and second seasons, making them more expensive. Lord of the Rings Wheel of Timefor their second season before the first.

The production requirements for large-scale shows are often very big. Produces must build sets, make props and scout for locations.
