Halo Infinite’s co-op actually isn’t out today actually — but it’s coming

Beta release Halo Infinite’s campaign co-opt didn’t actually come out today. Although the highly-anticipated feature remains in development, Brian Jarrard from 343 Industries clarified that the release date was not yet set. Twitter.

“While we always said our ‘target was the week of July 11,’ many sites reported it simply as ‘starting July 11,’” he wrote. “Still hoping for this week, but it will not start today.”

He then went on to describe some of the issues facing developers.

Previously many outlets — including Polygon — reported that the 10 day test period for Halo Infinite’s co-op would begin on July 11. 343 Industries plans to launch the beta next week. However, 343 Industries could delay it. The launch of the co-op campaign is scheduled for later this year. This feature along with the level editor have been delayed quite a few times. Halo InfiniteLast December, launched.

Players who have signed up for Xbox Insider Program will receive the beta when the game is available. Although Steam users were given a July 5 deadline, players can sign up for the beta from any other location.
