Halo Infinite’s battle pass now gives XP for playing every match

Halo Infinite’s battle pass is still a source of frustration for many players but developer 343 Industries isn’t done changing it just yet. The developer has announced that players can now earn experience by playing certain matches per day in the most recent update to their multiplayer reward system.

After Halo Infinite’s new update, players will now get XP for the first six matches they play each day, with the biggest reward given for playing just one game. This was designed to help make sure players can kick off each of their play sessions with a sizable reward, 343 Industries’ Halo community manager, John Junyszek, explained on Twitter.

Junyszek provided more detailed breakdownHere’s a list of the XP that players might expect to make in each match

  • First Game = 300XP
  • 2. Second game = 200XP
  • 2nd Game = 200XP
  • Fourth Game = 100XP
  • 5th game = 100XP
  • Sixth game = 100XP
  • 7th+ Games = 50XP

According to Junyszek, these changes were made as a reflection of 343’s continued monitoring of battle pass progression as well as feedbackFrom the community. Junyszek reminded players, however, that these solutions are temporary and the team intends to provide more permanent fixes in the near future. But they will take time.

This represents the largest change 343 Industries has ever made. Halo Infinite’s battle pass progression so far, but it remains to be seen if the community will be happy with the new rate of progression or if the frustration will continue.
