Children are familiar with horror in other forms of media such as books or movies. “Hotel Transylvania” or “Goosebumps”), the videogame industry did not release such titles. Origin of the Nightmares

Gylt This is a game that was inspired by the personal experience of a relative of studio members. Her cousin suffered from bullying in school. And what’s more terrifying than what’s more realistic and closer to our daily lives.

This original concept was developed into a delicate horror In this game, our protagonist Sally is searching for Emily, her cousin who has gone missing. On her quest, she’ll start by running from bullies. She will then be led into an alternate and dangerous version of the City. She will encounter Emily’s worst fears. This is why our tagline makes perfect sense. Shape the fear, not the forms!When possible, our little hero will need to use a flashlight and hide or fight back.

Bullying can be a serious thing

Don’t be mistaken, this is a game and you will have fun, be scared and jump from your couch. As we have said before, it is school bullying that moves all of us.

In the course of development, GyltWe worked with a team of psychologists. We were able to communicate bullying with sensitivity.

For the launch of the game we’re collaborating with Safe in Our World, an international organization engaged on that matter. If you’re feeling different from usual or you have noticed a change in your behavior, you can learn about some common feelings and mental health symptoms, how to cope with them, and where to go for help. Bachman – Does it sound familiar? That proves you’re into horror literature. Richard Bachman was the pseudonym used by Stephen King during the ‘70s for some of his novels, and that’s the name we chose for the school in the game.

And who hasn’t already watched “Coraline”? If you’re familiar with the creation of Neil Gaiman you’ll find that we took some inspirations for the atmosphere of the movie in our game, as well as from Alan Wake.

Horror fans, we don’t feel ashamed of the fact that our inspiration comes from some great horror films.

This Game is For Me?

When we say that the game is suitable for younger audiences we’re not saying that an adult or a hardcore horror gamer can’t enjoy it. The game does not contain any gore or bad language, nor do it have real weapons. The creatures’ designs, the atmosphere and the music will send shivers down anyone’s spine.

The story will be a challenge for all players, whether they are fighting monsters, hiding, or solving puzzles to get Emily. You can learn more by paying attention to collectibles as well as the words on the walls.

Music is the foundation of everything

You can stop a horror movie from being frightening by removing the music.
