Grounded’s Newest Super Duper Update is Coming Today!

It is important to note that the word “you” means “the”. GroundTeam is happy to release update 1.2 for the community. The Super Duper Update, as it is rightfully called, brings along many changes to the game, such as a new base coziness function, 100+ new crafting items, and the new terrifying wasps.  

Players will discover the Super Duper in Oak Tree Lab when they next visit BURG.L. Players can duplicate items or equipment by using Raw Science.  

Making this even more helpful for players, any item duplicated will include all of the item’s upgrades, which is sure to help save a lot of time when you and your friends need to gear up quickly to go back to adventuring. The Super Duper Machine can be used by players who find Duper Discs scattered around the yard. These Discs allow them to copy different items. Have fun!  

The Base Coziness feature has been introduced to allow players to really enhance their base. This includes adding furniture and decor to it. By unlocking coziness levels, you can also unlock decorative building recipes and a mutation that will benefit base construction. You may even be able to unlock new emotes.  

This update includes close to 100 crafting items to help you create the base of dreams. The community has already shown a talent for creative bases, and we are super excited to see what new masterpieces you will create with the additional building pieces and furniture. 

That’s just some of what’s on offer, as players will now get to meet a new friend to help them with all of their base building plans. Meet the ‘Handy Gnat,’ which you can summon and then use to bring all your base ideas to reality. The Handy Gnat will build with planks and stems from your storeroom. By default, this feature will be enabled in Creative and Creative with Bugs. Players must change their Survival games in the Game Settings to Custom Games to enable this friend.  

Acorn Turrets are now available. We have combined both the Pebblet Turret Turret, and the Pollen Turret Turret. It uses different ammunition depending on what foe the player is fighting. Sappy Rounds will slow enemies while Rocky Rounds push them back. Five different ammo types are available. All ammo is stored next to the Turret, so that players don’t have to leave the seat.  

As wasps invade the yard, prepare to be enthralled. The wasps will be defending their mini-hives on the upper lawn. Be on the lookout for hidden nests. A word of caution: piss off their kin and you’ll release the full fury of the hive. For those who want a greater challenge, they can try to find the Wasp Nest, and then meet the Wasp queen, the latest creature boss to invade the backyard. Successfully defeating these wasps allows players to unlock items such as new armor sets and new trinkets to wear. 

A pleasant surprise is in store for players who are on the road, as the team was able to secure a boarding pass. GroundSteam Deck’s official support list. That’s right! Use in-game customization tools such as Mutations, Milk Molars and other options to customize the character you wish. Craft and upgrade armors and weapons in order to provide your character with the stats, advantages and benefits you require to face the dangers of your backyard.
