Gran Turismo 7 State Of Play Showcases World Map, Music Modes, Car Museums, And More
It was all about Gran Turismo 7 at the State of Play 2022. This demo is essential if you want to see Polyphony Digital’s new simulator racer. This showcase not only shows off the stunning graphics Gran Turismo’s series is famous for, but it also highlights the fact that GT7 goes beyond racing games.
Although it’s still racing, GT7 is packed with many fun activities.

“Over its 25-year history, the Gran Turismo series has demonstrated a serious love and respect for cars,” GT7 producer Kazunori Yamauchi said at the top of the showcase. Gran Turismo 7 is the 25th anniversary for the series. Gran Turismo 7 is the culmination of our journey. GT7 was designed so people who are not familiar with automotive culture can get to grips with the rich, deep world of automobiles.
The State of Play also covered the easy introduction to cars for novices. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer:
World Map

Gran Turismo 7’s central hub, this is where you will find the 400 cars, 34 race locations and 97 layouts. Yamauchi states that future updates will include more layouts and cars. You can see the world map from a birds eye view. It shows the location of smaller hubs in GT7, such as the Used Car Dealer or Cafe and Legendary Cars.
When you begin the game, you’ll receive some in-game credits to purchase a compact car and from there, you’ll progress through the campaign by completing races, unlocking new cars, and tuning vehicles for better performance – all from the world map.
PlayStation claimed during the show that GT7 is more than the traditional GT campaign mode.
Cafe

The campaign appears to originate from this location. This is where you will find a list of car collections. By winning races or championships, you must finish each menu. As you complete each course, you will learn about every car and get surprise visits from original vehicle designers.
Brand Central

Here you will find new vehicles for sale. You’ll find roughly 300 cars from 2001 and later here from over 50 different worldwide brands like Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki, and more. There will be showrooms where you can purchase cars, as well as a museum that focuses on each brand. Here you can find out about the history and origins of each car brand in GT7.
Car dealer for used

It’s where you will find used cars at an affordable price, as the name suggests. Yamauchi says that the market is changing and some cars older than they were will be sold for more. The prices for 1990s Japanese cars are rising, and that is reflected in their price. Every day, the used car inventory will change and be updated.
Autos of legend

You’d be surprised at the inclusion of iconic vehicles from historical past. We have not revealed much, but expect to find the best (and most thrilling) cars in the game.
World Circuits

The launch will feature 34 layouts and 97 locations. It includes real-world and fantasy circuits. Yamauchi states that the PlayStation 5 will feature fantasy tracks like Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and other GT classics. This game allows you to create customized circuits, which allow for races that have different weather conditions.
The State of Play stepped away from the global map and began to explore the intricate Gran Turismo 7 systems, starting with the return of Licensed Testing.
Testing by Licensed Technicians

Returning to GT, Licensed Tests let you learn and practice new techniques for driving on circuits and in other races. These are short races, which can be compared to minigames. Just like previous GT games, you can get a bronze trophy, silver or gold.
Mission Races

These unique events go beyond time trials or races that are common in GT7. You’ll also find drift trials and drag racing under the Mission Races Hub.
Multiplayer

GT7 features multiplayer. You can race with other online players, and you can race against friends via the two-player couch-co-op.
Music Replay

It was created to be used in conjunction with the traditional replay feature. Music Replay allows the camera to dynamically change the music it plays. It does this through random generation. The cameras that were used for the capture of the race are different every Music Replay.
Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers

GT7 has both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on PlayStation 5. PlayStation’s GT7 features adaptive triggers that allow users to feel vibrations when a tire is in its lock state. Additionally, if the driver goes too fast into corners, they will feel the tires trying to adjust on the steering wheel using haptic feedback. Yamauchi claims that it’ll feel as if you are holding a car with DualSense.
Setting

This one’s for all the car nerds out there – there are over 60 types of performance parts per car. This tuning menu is amazing during State of Play. It can be overwhelming if you are a novice, but it is likely that fans will smile when they view these menus. Yamauchi claims there are over 650 aerodynamic components, 130 kinds of wheels and more than 1200 color options of measured paint data. It is possible to still have your vehicle washed and oil changed as needed.
Photographs

GT7 has a new feature called Scrapes. These HDR HDR images can be placed into any car. You can play with a variety of settings in order to achieve the best shot. The GT7 photo mode is a companion. It looks like it might be the best photo mode ever created by PlayStation.
It ends with the introduction of the new Music Rally mode. While it’s not discussed much, it appears to be based upon the beats of a track and the Music Replay modes. The end of State of Play will give you a few minutes of PlayStation 5 GT7 gaming.
Gran Turismo 7 is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting March 4. You can still enjoy it while you wait. read about GT7’s original announcement back in 2020, and then check out this GT7 trailer that shows off the game’s detailed customization and photo mode.
