Gotham Knights PS4, Xbox One versions canceled
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s new Batman Arkham spinoff, Gotham Knights, is coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X this October — and only those platforms. Warner Bros. announced Tuesday that the game was no longer planned for last-generation consoles such as Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
A news release announced a brand new trailer in gaming. Gotham Knights, WBIE said “to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.” When WBIE and developer WB Games Montreal announced Gotham KnightsIt was originally a cross-generational game in August 2020. However, the delayed, ongoing development of cooperative action-adventure seems to have shifted the game to the current generation platforms.
Gotham KnightsThe game will be available on Oct. 25 after it was delayed last year to 2021. It is set in Gotham City without Batman as its protector. Bruce Wayne is portrayed as having died in an explosion. However, in the message he sends to his survivors, he says how he will continue to help them. The game’s antagonists will be the Court of Owls, a generations-long secret society made up of Gotham’s wealthiest families.
