Gotham Knights’ new gameplay trailer features Nightwing combat

Batman could be missing from the scene in Gotham Knights, but there’s still plenty of crimefighters to keep the city safe. WB Games Montreal’s latest Batman-universe video game was shown off during Summer Game Fest. The main focus of the demo was Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing).

Nightwing’s trailer allows him to introduce himself before it displays some of the impressive combat moves. He’s got dual batons, a grappling hook, a projectile-firing weapon, and of course some fantastic martial arts.

Gotham Knights follows Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood, as they try to clean up Gotham’s streets. Co-op will be available with two people, and the second person can drop in or out at any time. The story is set in the wake of Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon’s deaths, which have thrown the city into lawlessness and chaos.

However Gotham Knights has had a somewhat rocky road to development, it’s finally set to be released on Oct. 25. It will release on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. There were initially plans to release versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but both have been dropped to make way for current-generation hardware.
