GoldenEye cheats, unlock times for Xbox, Switch and N64
GoldenEye 007 Beware of cheats Allows you unlock weapons, characters, or levels throughout the story as well multiplayer.
Some draw from iconic James Bond films over the years — such as the Golden Gun, and a bonus level inspired by Moonraker — while others are more original, from firing paintball rounds to handing every enemy a rocket launcher.
N64’s original version of GoldenEye 007, cheats could be unlocked one of two ways — You can enter a cheat code or complete levels according to certain conditions.
While this still applies on Switch — which is essentially the same as the N64 version, albeit with some caveats when it comes to registering inputs — entering codes on Xbox does not work, This means that you have to rely on each cheat being unlocked the regular way.
Cheat unlock times for GoldenEye007
No matter if you’re playing on Xbox or Switch, cheats can be unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions.

Xbox users will find an additional tip: You can map your controls so you can run diagonally, and move through the levels quicker, according to Stephen Berg, Twitter.
How to Unlock Aztec and Egyptian with GoldenEye007
For those focused on single-player, there are two bonus levels to unlock — Aztec and Egyptian — which require you to complete every main story mission on a certain difficulty:
- Aztec unlock requirement:All levels of Secret Agent difficulty completed or higher
- Egyptian unlocking requirementCompleting all levels at 00 Agent difficulty level or higher
There is an extra cheat code for Aztec that can be used by N64 and Switch users. However, this will only work if you’ve unlocked all the main story levels.
As for Egyptian, there is no code — meaning you have to put in the legwork.
What are the GoldenEye007 cheat codes for Xbox One and Switch?
Cheats can be unlocked in N64 Original by entering codes and completing in-game requirements.
However, The Xbox version does not include codes, as confirmed by our own tests and the following comment from an Xbox spokesperson to Polygon: “This version of GoldenEye 007 is, for the majority, as players know and love from the 1997 version. Specifically for cheats, these can be unlocked by completing levels in the required time, rather than with the button codes previously used.”

The C buttons on Switch are assigned to right analog sticks, while the Left, Right and Up inputs go to the D-pad and not to the left analog sticks. It is possible to take your time with every command. However, for the last, you may need to wait several seconds before it works. You might still not see the results, so be patient and don’t give up.

If you’re struggling, double-check where you need to input each specific cheat — such as during gameplay or in the multiplayer menu — and know that if you are using the mission unlock cheats, it appears they only work in sequence, starting with Facility, then Runway, and so on.
If you can’t get these codes to activate (we struggled in most instances), then you have to do things the old fashioned way.
