GoldenEye 007 Hits Xbox And Switch This Week
Back in September, Nintendo made it clear that N64’s classic game GoldenEye 007 was coming to Switch. It also offered online play. Microsoft revealed that GoldenEye 007 would be coming to Xbox the same day, but this Xbox version will not have online multiplayer.
However, today’s developer announcement did not contain a release date. Rare revealed that GoldenEye 007 launches this weekFriday, January 27, 2007. You can buy the Switch version as part of Nintendo Switch Online + Expandsion Pack memberships. However, you can also purchase GoldenEye007 separately on Xbox. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
Although the Xbox version does not have online functionality, it will offer improved control options, like dual analog stick support and native 16/9 resolution up through 4K Ultra HD. It also has a constant refresh rate and full achievement support.
You will be able to access GoldenEye007 at no cost if you have Rare Replay Xbox.
According to a press release, Bond is a spy in GoldenEye 007 and you can enter a new world. “Your covert operation to stop the GoldenEye weapon satellite spans the globe – you’ll infiltrate underground bases, charge through a military train, and slink around the depths of a jungle. M will guide you through the process and Q Branch will assist with a variety of tools, but it is up to you to make this mission a success.
