God of War RagnarökThe hell has frozen over. Perhaps you were expecting something more familiar: A steaming hot mound of lava, packed full of hungry monsters that want to use your skin for a jacket. This is the place. Ragnarök. Just head over to Muspelheim and you will find the land of fire giants.
Muspelheim is an area that’s a regular visitor. God of War(2018). It is very similar to its version in the original game. Access the realm here God of War RagnarökYou need to find two Muspelheim seedsYou can use this to open mystic gateways that will take you there whenever you want. Here’s where to find both Muspelheim seeds in God of War RagnarökHere’s a brief overview of what you will face when you reach your destination.
First Muspelheim Seed
In comes the first Muspelheim seed. SvartalfheimIn the Modvitnir’s Rig area. On the platform overlooking the crane, you’ll see a Legendary Chest. The Legendary Chest contains the original Muspelheim seed. (Stop now if you don’t want spoilers.)
Second Muspelheim Seed

Muspelheim Challenges
Muspelheim’s three principal chambers are situated west to east. These rooms range from the easiest to most challenging. At first, you’ll only have access to two challenges per chamber. Completing all six will mark the “The Crucible” side quest as complete.
Some notes to keep in mind: Your health bar will fully rejuvenate between challenge attempts, but your rage bar won’t. Any skills you land will contribute toward progress you’ve made toward unlocking mod tokens (unless you die). You’ll earn prizes for every challenge you complete, including Divine ashesThis is a very rare crafting element that can be used to create high-level armor sets.
Once you finish all six challenges, you’ll unlock a Dritte challenge for each chamber, but that’s those are better saved for God of War Ragnarök’s final act (both in terms of the challenges they pose and the prizes you earn). For now, here are all the challenges you need to beat to check off “The Crucible” side quest.
First Chamber Challenges
- You can master the weapon:In three minutes, you can kill 16 enemies. It’s easy.
- Flawless:Take no damage if you kill 15 enemy soldiers. One hit is enough to make you fail. It’s not easy Or peasy!
Second Chamber Challenges
- Ring Out Challenge:By pushing 21 enemies into lava pits, you can kill 21 of them. Here, your Spartan kick attack (R2 unarmed) will work wonders.
- The Rift is Your Feed: Throw six glowing orbs into a giant temporal rift in less than a minute (the countdown doesn’t start until you sink the first orb), then toss 15 orbs into the same thing in less than two and a half minutes. Watch out for the floating wisps, as they’ll destroy any orbs you’re carrying.
Dritte Chamber
- Population Control Kill a large enemy but don’t let cannon fodder flood the arena. There are no more than four enemies of lower level on the field. You will have 20 seconds for them to be reduced.
- King of the Hill Don’t let enemies occupy circular zones long enough for a gauge to fill all the up. You must survive 40 seconds in the first wave’s one-zone zone. Your second wave will have two zones and your time limit is 70 seconds. You must keep your eye on three areas for the duration of third wave. The gauge doesn’t reset between waves. If that isn’t worse than a frozen hell, I don’t know what is.
