Genshin Impact 3.0 Sumeru update release date revealed
Following a summer full of delays, and controversial leaks we have finally got a date. Genshin Impact’s big Sumeru update. Developer Hoyoverse announced that the 3.0 update will release on August 24th. It will add a new area to explore as well as new elements to the game. On Saturday, a jam-packed stream revealed the new trailer for the story and confirmed that three Sumeru characters will be featured on Wish banners, Collei, Tighnari and Dori.
The first set of stories will be released over the course of versions 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2, and will be contained in two acts: “Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark” and “The Morn a Thousand Roses Bring.” Developer released a new trailer teasing the second half of the story where the dancer Nilou attempts to dance and plan a festival for the Dendro Archon’s birthday, but the scholars of the city stop her.
The developers also revealed the release schedules for future patches. On Sept. 28, the 3.1 update will be available; on Nov. 2, it will be available; on Dec. 7, the 3.2 patch will come; while 3.3 will go live on December 7. Updates following this one are being released on a somewhat faster schedule to address any issues with the game that were encountered earlier in the season.

Developers revealed the characters with lower drop rates that Wish for in the banners. One banner featuring Tinghari will appear in phase one, while the second featuring Zhongli. Each banner will be dropped at a higher rate to the four-star Collei. Tingnari will be included to the Standard banner at 3.1, so that players have an equal chance of getting him regardless of the banner they are using.
The five-star forest ranger Tighnari will be getting a story quest, “Vulpes Zerda Chapter: Act 1,” where players will be able to learn more about him and get a better understanding of a corrosive phenomena in the forrest known as The Withering.

It confirmed logistics as well as showing more of the area. Viewers were taken on a guided tour of Sumeru City by developers. The city is built around an enormous tree, with landmarks including a bazaar and cafes. Port Ormos and Avidya Forest, a mushroomed forest, were also on the tour.
Miscellaneous highlights also include the release of two artifact sets, and the introduction of a boss, The Jadeplume Terrorshroom. As usual, Hoyoverse has released songs for the Sumeru soundtrack. This includes a spectacular performance by a live orchestra.
