Genshin Impact 2.7 update trailer shows off Yelan and Kuki Shinobu

It seems that Genshin Impact Following some delays in April’s update, will be back updating frequently. On Friday, Hoyoverse revealed a trailer showing off the 2.7 update, “Hidden Dreams in the Depths,” as part of a stream going over all the additions heading to the game. New characters, such as Yelan (five-star Hydro bow user), and Kuki Shinobu, will make their debut in the game’s 2.7 update.

The mainline quest for the Traveler will take him on an expedition deep into The Chasm of Liyue. A trailer features Traveler exploring the depths of the Chasm in Liyue with Yelan, Kuki Sinobu and returning to friends such as Yanfei and Arataki Itto. The story will feature Xiao the conqueror demons. According to the trailer, Traveler might need to rescue him.

As usual, there will be two banners to increase the drop rate for particular characters. They are available in phases that last three weeks. The Phase 1 banners include Discerner of Enigmas (Yelan) and Invitation to Mundane Life (Xiao). Phase 2 will include the banner, Oni’s Royale and will include both Arataki Itto and Kuki Shinobu on the same banner since she’s a four-star.

While Yelan and Kuki Shinobu were confirmed, the rest of their stream showed their gameplay. Yelan is a 5-star Hydro bow user and has a power which makes her almost invisible. Kuki Shinobu is an new character in Electro Support who can wield a sword. The stream showed other events, such as a combat challenge hosted by Arataki Gang and a rhythm game.
