Gear ChestsAre you looking for better weapons and gear? Assassin’s Creed Mirage. They are hidden in all districts of Baghdad. They usually have to be in areas that require a permit. Inside, they will find new equipment and upgrade schematics. It’s worth braving the dangers to grab these, though some are trickier than others.

Note: In Polygon’s testing, the rewards from each Gear Chest have differed slightly among those of us playing. In this guide, I’ve noted what was in each Gear Chest for me — you may end up with a different reward.

Harbiyah Gear Chest Locations and Solutions

Harbiyah has There are six gear chests., including one in a prison and another nestled inside the prince’s palace.

What is the Damascus Gate Prison Gear Chest?

This Gear Chest is likely the first you’ll encounter in Baghdad. It’s just under the small bridge connecting the road to the prison gate, and while it seems at first glance that you have to approach it from behind, the solution is much more straightforward.

Head left as you face the prison. Use Basim’s eagle vision to check for guards, and climb over the wall. You’ll need to quietly deal with the guard on the upper walk and take care of the two on the lower path as well, though it likely won’t be as quiet for those two.

As you approach the gate, throw a knife into the opening and aim for the clamp of the door on the other end.

This chest can be found by climbing out on to the street and hopping over the wall. The schematics for upgrading the Zanj Uprising sword.

Upper Harbor Gear Chest – How to Get it

It takes less finesse than other chests to pick up this one. Approach the ship from the side that faces away from the harbor, and climb aboard — ideally in a spot with no guards around.

You can find the chest in the back cabin behind some junk you may be able to move around. Grab the chest to your left after pushing the middle box forward. The schematics for upgrading the Zanj Uprising outfit.

To get here, you’ll need to go around the corner. From here, use the elevator to reach the top of the building. However, there are a number of guards in this area, and you may need to engage them.

You will find the gear chest at one end of the room behind some mobile crates.

How to get the Prince’s Palace Gear Chest

Approach the Prince’s Palace from the side, and climb into the gardens via the latticed pavilion.

You can sneak past guards, or confuse them, in the courtyard and then enter the door on the left.

How to get the Soap Boiler’s District Gear Chest

The Gear Chest may seem confusing, but it is actually quite simple. The straw floor can be destroyed by using a throw knife in the middle of the area.

Metal Factory Gear Chest – How to obtain it

Just south of map marker Metal Factory, you will find this gear chest. Stand on the platform on the building’s southeastern side, and aim a dagger at the door bar through the broken window. Then, head back to the front door and take your prize.

Abbasiyah gear chest locations

Abbasiyah six gear chests, though some of these are tougher to get than the ones in Harbiyah — fitting, since Abbasiyah is a higher-level area.

What is the Scriptorium Gear Chest?

It’s finally a simple Gear Chest! The lift will take you to the top of the Scriptorium. Hop down from the ledge by traveling along the stonework.

What is the House of Wisdom Gear Chest?

This one allows you to indirectly play around with fire. Use the lift at the top of House of Wisdom to get to the rear tower. Throw a blade at the hinge of this window, which is located in the corner room behind the chest.

How to get the Scholar’s Estate Gear Chest

Getting the Scholar’s Estate chest is different than many other Gear Chests: It’s locked! Use the plants and grass to hide as you enter the compound. You can deal with the guards more easily if you do so quietly. Break the upstairs window to enter the building.

You’ll find the chest — and it’s locked. The note says that the key to the chest is located in the storage area. Unbar the door at the lower level and return to the training yard. You will find another building on your left, close to where the guards had been practicing with combat dummies. Ascend the ladder to the inside and take the key.

Hammam Gear Chest: How to order

The chest needs a little vandalism. It’s behind a breakable wall on the southwest side of the Hammam. You can destroy the wall with an oil jar and then grab it. Zanj Uprising DaggerInside.

The Four Markets chest of gear

No guards await you here — just a wall of breakable stone and a missing key for the house next door. I couldn’t find it, so I grabbed an extra oil jar from the Hammam due south (there are explosive jars inside the bathhouse) and lugged it the 200-odd meters back to the building.

When you get inside, you’ll need to move a bookshelf on the right wall to the center of the room, then scale it to climb through a hole in the ceiling to reach the upper floor.
