Games You May Have Missed In 2021: Propnight
Have you ever wanted to participate in a 4-v-1 asymmetrical horror match where 4 survivors take on a murderer? Wait, that’s called Dead by Daylight. Propnight basically combines Dead by Daylight’s asymmetrical antics with PropHunt. It creates a completely new experience. The survivors have the ability to transform into books, chairs and hot dogs as well giant pianos or stuffed bears. Although the mechanics and features of Dead by Daylight are still present, there is an interesting twist to the game. The survivors work on different objectives in the escape gates. While games can still get plenty sweaty, it’s hard to take things seriously when players are possessing giant pigs and jumping on the killer’s head, stunning them, and then hopping into a backpack and hiding on a bookshelf.
There are no perks to sift through on either side of the equation, so whether you’re the survivor or the killer, props are the key element for success or failure. Although some props such as giant pigs and rolling wheels are simple to find and chase, others, like tiny soda bottles and logs, can be seamlessly integrated into the surroundings. You could be the victim of a murderer if you make a turn as a survivor and find something you can become. You are also able to use props in order to navigate the environment more quickly than you would as a person. Of course, the killer isn’t defenseless here, as they have their own tools. The Imposter can pretend to be a survivor, and even turn himself into props. Talk about deception!
If you’re looking for a bizarre take on existing mechanics, this is one you might want to check out.
Propnight can be downloaded on PC.
