Full-length Haunted Mansion trailer features Hot Priest Owen Wilson

There’s a new Haunted Mansion movie coming out this summer, which is fine and cool for people who love Disney Parks’ Haunted Mansion attraction (me) and are also really into celebrating Halloween all year (also me). However, the trailer shows something very important that could appeal to even more people: Owen Wilson will play a hot Catholic priest.

And not just any hot priest, either — a hot exorcism-performing, cowboy-hat-wearing priest.

Danny DeVito joins Tiffany Haddish and Rosario Dawson in a team effort to rid the Haunted Mansion of the grim and grinning ghosts.

The new trailer is filled with little Easter eggs that will be noticed by fans, including the DoomBuggys and the stretch room. There’s also a full glimpse of the infamous Hatbox Ghost, played here by Jared Leto.

Haunted Mansion is a ride that’s steeped deep in legend, although the specific story differs from one park to another. The mansion seen in the movie seems to be most closely based on the California’s Disneyland Park version of the ride, with its antebellum-style New Orleans manor. If you’re wondering, both the Disney World mansions and those at Tokyo Disneyland are Gothic Revival style. The Disneyland Paris version is Western Victorian. And the Hong Kong variation, with its different story, is in Queen Anne style.
