Fortnite Unreal Editor allows for entirely new games with Creative 2.0
Epic Games unveils a brand new collection of tools Fortnite Content creators now have more power. These new tools, called Unreal Editor For Fortnite (UEFN) are designed to give content creators more power. FortniteThis makes them more accessible and allows for new games and creations inside. Fortnite. The UEFN tools were announced and debuted during Epic’s “State of Unreal” presentation at the Game Developers Conference 2023.
The Unreal Editor Fortnite is for experienced game developers, but it’s also designed to be a user-friendly tool for Fortnite’s many Island creators and hobbyists. Eventually, the goal is to have every single one of Unreal Engine 5’s features available in UEFN. Assets and Meta Humans will be included. Epic Games
Editor is specifically designed to allow players to upload all types of Unreal content and assets, as well as provide a variety of game system base systems for them to use. Epic showcased footage from several projects created using UEFN. This included a fully cinematic that seamlessly switched to third-person shooting in a setting that was nothing like. This tool has landscape editing capabilities similar to those used by Epic developers. Fortnite maps. In-game modes allow creators to instantly play and edit their creations. Epic even includes Verse, an exclusive programming language that Epic provides to creators. This will allow them to refine parts of their Fortnite game using Unreal editor.

To reflect this, UEFN will permit for far more kinds of creations. FortniteEpic is sharing 40% Fortnite revenue with creators who make content for the game, with larger shares for those creators whose work garners more players’ interest and engagement. For eligible creators, this new revenue sharing system will start today. It will retroactively begin at the beginning March. Epic hopes this will encourage creators to join UEFN, and ultimately entire studios to make games within that environment.
