Final Fantasy XIV 6.3 patch adds deep dungeon, main story in January
Final Fantasy XIV is getting even bigger. In a developers’ stream on Friday, Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of the hit massively multiplayer online role-playing game, laid out future plans for the game in the coming months. The new 6.3 patch, titled “Gods Revels, Lands Tremble,” is scheduled to arrive early January.
This patch introduces a grab-bag of content, which includes new Main Scenario Quests. Additional side quests will also be included. The update will also improve quality-of-life. There are new perks like an expanded housing area, PVP map update, Gold Saucer upgrade, and Island Sanctuary content. You can rewatch the stream and get the full details on the game’s Twitch channel.
Patch 6.35 will be released at a later time and will contain more relic weapons steps, a deeper dungeon and new tribe quests to the Lopporrits.
Friday’s stream was one of two streams that will cover the 6.3 patch. A second stream will be hosted by developers closer to patch launch. It will feature gameplay footage and a trailer. The stream will likely contain additional information about the job adjustments that are being made.
Final Fantasy XIV is Square Enix’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game. New features in the latest 6.2 patch include graphical improvements and increased support for solo play.
