Final Fantasy 16 Producer Naoki Yoshida Isn’t Sure Why People Are Talking About A PC Release
Final Fantasy XVI was originally released exclusively on PlayStation 5 June 22, however, some gamers believe that a PC release could be possible as soon as six to eight months later. Naoki Yoshida, FF16’s producer is not sure why.
During a recent Final Fantasy XIV stream, Yoshida, who is a director on that game, was asked about rumors surrounding a PC version of FF16, and he responded, “I don’t know where the notion of a PC version releasing six months after the game is out came from as none of us have ever said that,” according to a translator, as reported by Eurogamer. Then he followed up by two more occasions encouraging fans to get the PS5 edition.
Translated by SiliconeraYoshida stated that “there’s been talk about the PC edition coming out but nobody on the team has spoken anything about it.” It’s strange that people think the PC version will be available six months later. [the PS5 version]You can buy one now, just click here.
The PlayStation 5 promotional video from last year, which stated in very small print that FF16 was a PS5 exclusive for six monthly, has led to talk about a PC version. It is possible to extrapolate from the small print that the PC version of the game would be released after the six-month exclusivity period ends. However, Yoshida’s comments recently suggest that the team doesn’t have any plans for a PC version.
Final Fantasy XVI is available for PlayStation 5 players on June 22. You can watch the “Ambition” trailer to learn more about Valisthea and her kingdoms, dominants and eikons. Next, we interview Yoshida about boss fights.
