Final Fantasy 16 PC version, story DLC, and update 1.10 announced

The PC version is exclusive to PlayStation 5 Final Fantasy 16Naoki Yushida, the producer of Square Enix’s role-playing games, announced that two paid installments for story DLC are in production.

Yoshida broke the news to Yoshida in a short video messageIt was performed during the PAX West gaming conference on Saturday as part of a Final Fantasy Panel.

Yoshida didn’t reveal much about the PC version or story expansions for Final Fantasy 16The company has promised that more details will be available before the end year.

Discussing player feedback, Yoshida said, “One thing that came through particularly strongly was how people wanted to see more of Valisthea’s story and spend more time with her inhabitants. To accommodate, the development team has started work on two installments of paid DLC.”

Square Enix appeared to have announced a PC version when it first released the game in 2020. However, they quickly removed mention of the PC edition from trailers, insisting that the PlayStation 5 was the only platform the game would be available on. Finally confirming its existence, Yoshida said, “Allow me to take this opportunity to officially announce that development on a PC version is currently underway. I hope to be able to give you more information on both the upcoming DLC and the PC version before the end of the year, so please stay tuned.”

This patch adds the ability to switch between weapons without altering their stats. There are also new alternate outfits for Clive, Jill, Torgal, Ambrosia, and Joshua, and every player gets an onion sword — the iconic weapon that first appeared in Final Fantasy 3. This patch adds some control customization options and makes a few balance adjustments.
