FFXIV Aloalo Island routes guide

FFXIV’s third Variant Dungeon, Aloalo IslandPatch 6.51 has added. There are many different ways to get the Spectral Statice prize mount.

Aloalo Island – How to Unlock it in FFXIV

To unlock Aloalo Island, go talk to the usual NPC (the Shallow Moor) in Old Sharlayan to start the quest “Stranger from Paradise.” You will need to have completed the following to unlock this quest:

• Main scenario quest “A Satrap’s Duty”
• Combat class at level 90
• Old Sharlayan: Talk with Osmon

For Alolalo Island specifically, you’ll need an Minimum item level 605. As with other Variant Dungeons you can either play solo or as part of a four-person party.

As with the other Variant Dungeons, if you take the same routes that Matsya suggests taking, you’ll get access to an extra coffer for a chance at more rewards.

Here we will list how to unlock each of the twelve paths on Aloalo Island. You can change some boss mechanics by doing certain things, but they will not have any effect on the end result. Therefore, we did not include them.

Path 1: A Not-quite Deserted Island

1. Take a look Right path.
2. When prompted by Matsya about fishing (he’ll have an exclamation point above his head), tell him “We should press on.”

Path 2: First Settlers of Aloalo Island

1. Take a look Right path.

Path 3: Gods Of Heaven And Sea

1. Take a look Right path.
2. When prompted by Mastya about fishing (he’ll have an exclamation point above his head), tell him “Fish to your heart’s content.”

Path 4: Noxious Gift

1. Take a look Right path.
2. When prompted by Mastya about fishing (he’ll have an exclamation point above his head), tell him “Fish to your heart’s content.”
3. Engage with the Mounds of rock on the Left Give Matsya the bait.

Arcanima: Path 5, the Roots

1. Take a look The Middle East path.
2. After the midboss, kill the crawlers and treant in any order as long as they’re not standing on the sigil on the floor.
3. The boss will appear after you have killed the rest of the enemies.

Step 6: The Boughs of the Great Tree

1. Take a look The Middle East path.
2. After the midboss, kill the crawlers and treant in any order as long as they’re not standing on the sigil on the floor.
3. Next up, we have a new set of Monsters.Run through the red flowers bushesThe path is shown in the image below.How to scare the rodents similar to armadillos.
4. On the next set of monsters (again), do the same thing as above — run through the red flowers to find the armadillo-like rodents and scare them off.

Path 7: Dear Friend

1. Take a look The Middle East path.
2. When the midboss leaves, Pull the crawlers to the top and the treants on the floor. (shown below). Stay on the symbol. First, kill the crawlers and then the treants.
3. Then, head up to the path you chose and defeat the group of monsters.
4. The final and next set of monsters is the last one. Fight them. do not hit Jolly-tailed J’jhimei.

The Mind’s Fish

1. Take a look The Middle East path.
2. When the midboss leaves,Pull the crawlers to the top and the treant on the floor.. Keep your eyes on the symbol. First, kill the crawlers and then the treants.
3. Then, head up to the path you chose and defeat the group of monsters.
4. Next up, we have the final group of monsters. attack Jolly-tailed J’jhimei.

Path 9: A Familiar History

1. Take a look Right path.
2. Statice, the pixie is waiting for you. “Well go on, don’t keep them to yourself.”

Path 10: Remains of Faith

1. Take a look Right path.
2. Statice, the pixie is waiting for you. “I’m not interested in your ‘secrets.’”
3. If prompted, choose again “I don’t know if I can…”
4. Select the option “Select” when prompted a third time. “You just have a…wicked air about you.”
5. Don’t interact with any of the treasuresAfter taking the new road, you will be able to see.
6. The lever can be pushed.Take the road down.

The 11th Path: Lalafell fish or a Lalafell?

1. Take a look Right path.
2. Statice, the pixie is waiting for you. “I’m not interested in your ‘secrets.’”
3. If prompted, choose again “I don’t know if I can…”
4. Select the option “Select” when prompted a third time. “You just have a…wicked air about you.”
5. Play with treasureTo kill the mimics, you must first reveal them.
6. The lever can be pushed.Take the road down.

Wellspring of Golden Memories

1. Take a look Right path.
2. Statice, the pixie is waiting for you. “I’m not interested in your ‘secrets.’”
3. If prompted, choose again “I don’t know if I can…”
4. Select the option “Select” when prompted a third time. “You just have a…wicked air about you.”
5. Don’t interact with any of the treasuresAfter taking a new path, you will be able to see.
6. You must not pull the leverThe statues in the room.
7. The statues room Complete the RitualsFor each statue.

The ritual is performed by standing in front of each statue, in a small circular area.

• Whale: Say “O messenger from beyond the horizon, hear me.” Do two clockwise laps around the statues, and then one counterclockwise lap. Do the /dance emoticon after you have done the two laps.
• Turtle: Say “O wayfarer of land and sea, hear me.” Do two counterclockwise laps around the statues. Then, after doing two counterclockwise laps around the statues, you can use the /bow Emote.
• Sparrow: Say “O dancer of the skies, hear me.” Use the /blowkiss emote. Perform a clockwise circuit around each statue. Use the /dance emoticon after the lap.

When you correctly say the phrase, your statue will begin to glow. You can make the statues glow brighter by performing all rituals. Here’s a screenshot of us running the lap for the turtle statue (which we did last) for reference:

If the statues aren’t accepting your ritual, remember to paste or type the messages exactly as you see them into the “say” chat, including punctuation. Also make sure you’re standing in the circle in front of the statue.

1. A new path opens up after you have completed all three rituals. Head down.
2. Wobble-kneed Whasbyrm and other monsters must be eliminated.
3. Use the sack he dropped to interact with it.
4. Put the statues you have obtained in the sack onto the pedestals. On the first, we put the sparrow. Next, on the second pedestal is the whale. Finally, on the third, the turtle.

After doing all of this, you’ll eventually meet up with the secret boss of the area to finish up path 12.

Aloalo Island reward

Chests on Aloalo Island contain Aloalo potsherds and Triple Triad cards of bosses who have fought in their respective battles. They also include exclusive furnishings. The meaty stuff that you’ll want from the chests is the Giant Leaf Parasol and the minions (Repulu and Uolosapa).

Trisassant, in Old Sharylan, will accept Aloalo Potsherds in exchange for:

• Free Spirit’s Hat (15 Potsherds)
• Free Spirit’s Jacket (27 Potsherds)
• Free Spirit’s Cropped Slops (12 Potsherds)
• Free Spirit’s Ringbands (9 Potsherds)
• Free Spirit’s Backless Loafers (9 Potsherds)
• Slumber Orchestrion, O Speaker (9 Potsherds).
• Ballroom Etiquette – Humble Triumph (9 Potsherds)
• Statice’s Wings (3 Potsherds)
• Modern Aesthetics: The Bold and the Braid (Six Potsherds).

For completing all 12 routes of Aloalo Island, you’ll get the Spectral Statice mount, which you can claim from the achievements menu after getting the achievement “Good-willed Hunting.”
