Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water – 12 Tips and Tricks to Help Exorcise those Pesky Ghosts

Are you afraid of ghosts You are not! It is not true! Fatal Frame: Maiden in Black Water S. It transports horror fans to the eerie Mt.|S, transporting fright fans to the eerie Mt. Hikami, a sacred location haunted by bizarre and unfortunate occurrences — and a place where the water is believed to be housed by vengeful spirits. Do you think that you are capable of repelling the evil spirits and unlocking the secrets surrounding Mt. Hikami These 12 tricks and tips will help you start your frightening journey.

Tip 1 Follow the Shadows

Once you’ve arrived at Mt. Hikami, it’s time to put your senses to work. To focus your attention and increase your senses, hold down RT. This will allow you to view a silhouette which shows you where to go. Those silhouettes are called traces — shadows of the past which were left behind by beings who are not part of this world anymore (at least, most of the time). Explorer beware! The traces might lead you the right way, but they can’t protect you against the countless threats roaming across the mountain!

Tip 2

Exorcism isn’t tourism! Before beginning each chapter, make sure to grab all the necessary items — from different film types to healing items — by trading points you acquired during the previous missions. You must be prepared to meet the forces of death.

Tip #3: Lock and Load

You are facing a hostile ghost. You can take photos with your Camera Obscura and damage the ghost. When confronted by a hostile ghost, here are some things you should remember: By holding LT, you can lock onto a ghost located in the middle circle of your Camera Obscura. The ghost will be automatically followed by the camera while it is locked on.

Tip #4: Ghosts in chaos

Fragments will fly around a hostile ghost after you have shot it once. These fragments are known as Spirit Fragments. They are pieces of the entity which were dispersed after your attack. These can prove to be very useful because Spirit Fragments, which are targets for the Camera Obscura, are used as a way of capturing the area. If there are more than five targets within the area then the whole area will become red. Shutter Chances are activated when you snap a picture at this point. It can do major damage and even drive the ghosts away.

Tip 5: Be a professional photographer

Additional lenses will become available for you Camera Obscura during the course of the game. All lenses have unique effects. To switch lenses, use the D-Pad’s Up and Down buttons. Press RT to access the current lens. These Lenses will not only consume Spirit Power, but they can also be used to protect yourself from powerful entities.

Tip 6: Fatal Frame

It is not gone. It is obvious. It is only a few steps away, but you must not let go! You must be patient and wait for it to attack you. Do you still hear it? Is it there? It is red in the viewfinder and an alarm sounds. You need to now press the shutter. The Fatal Frame was what you did. It caused severe damage and drove the ghost away. It isn’t over, however. The Fatal Time just began. You can smash the shutter as many as possible! Fatal Time lets you take photos quickly without having to use any film.  

Tip 7: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Pictures

You are now facing the most powerful ghost you will ever face. Even though you had landed many Fatal Frames to stop it, they were still unable to resist you! Now what? Change film. Keep calm. When aiming, you can adjust the film type in your Camera Obscura’s Camera Obscura. 7, 14, 61, 90 … the higher the number the stronger its power to repel spirits. The Type-07 is the only type that can be used in large quantities. However, it has limited power and takes a long time to charge up. Other film types must be purchased or found spread across the mountain. There is also talk of a Type Zero film. This name could also hint at a Type-Zero film.

Tip 8 – Feel the power

You will notice a gauge at the bottom of the screen as you aim for the Camera Obscura. The gauge is your Spirit Power, which increases as you capture ghosts. Your Spirit Power will increase the more you do damage.

Tip 9: “I prefer the mountain over the sea” said no one in this game. 

A white filament will appear on your screen when there is an item, spirit, or clue nearby. If you see a white filament, go in that direction. You might find something of value. Be aware. Be aware that if the filament appears to be reddish, it could indicate that a hostile ghost may be nearby. Make sure you have your Camera Obscura handy before it’s too late. Either way, you could flee. Keep in mind that not all battles are worthwhile.

Tip 10: Be careful, you will catch a cold … or a ghost.

Mt. Hikami is not like any other place. You may find your character getting wet from being snatched by drowned spirits. This will result in a Wetness Gauge. You should be very careful when the gauge is empty. You will become more vulnerable to being attacked by ghosts. But, you’ll be able deal more damage and absorb more Spirit Power. Be careful – being wet makes it easier for ghosts to appear.

Some ghosts may use special attacks to make your Wetness Gauge red. This will cause you to take more damage and gradually decrease your health. This will also increase your attack power, and ability to absorb Spirit Power.

Tip 11 – Item Finder

Camera Obscura can reveal many secrets, and it is capable of helping you repel ghosts. It may react to something it can only see through the Camera Obscura. Focus in on what it’s reacting to by pressing LB to lock on, and then turn the Camera Obscura to match the angle of the object. After you’ve found the perfect angle, the capture area will glow red. To take a photograph that will show a secret place or object, press RT. 

Tip 12

When you spot a valuable item lying on the ground, you reach for it and a white ghostly hand suddenly appears out of nowhere. You can quickly release the grab button to avoid the item. However, if the object does grab you, move quickly from one side to the other to free yourself.
