Fallout-themed cards are coming to Magic: The Gathering
The Fallout franchise was born in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of America’s West Coast, and successive games went to expand out of California and explored regions like Nevada, Appalachia, Washington, and even outer space. Fallout characters will be appearing in four new decks of Commander cards for Magic: The Gathering. Wizards of the Coast, who first announced these products in August, revealed the details of the new product line on Thursday. These items will be available at retail starting March 8, 2024.
Fallout’s Commander Decks have four main themes that combine metalayer gameplay mechanics and familiar Fallout faces. You can pet the dog.

- The Technology Decks with Fallout 3 You can also find out more about the following: Fallout 4’s Dr. Madison Li serving as its Commander, generate energy to power up plasma weapons, mad scientists, and pre-war robots.
- You can also find out more about the following: The Military deck is a perfect addition since, as we all know from Fallout’s opening narration, war never changes. The commander of this deck will be New Vegas, Fallout’ Roman-loving warlord, Caesar.
- Finally, MutantFamous people are behind the wheel of these decks Fallout 76The various mutant creatures and cryptids have appeared in various versions of this franchise.
These decks are accompanied by lavish land cards, showing off the various locales of Fallout’s wasteland and post-apocalyptic civilizations. We’ve provided a sneak peek of the 52 cards that players will be able to acquire and use. As we near launch, expect to see more revealed.
The Fallout universe is not just Caesar, Dogmeat and Madison Li. The Vault is full of Gary-clones. Fallout 3, you might be glad to see that they’ve turned up here as well. Fallout’s post-nuclear, sci-fi feel makes it stand out even when compared to the other Universes Beyond cards. There’s even some different styles of art to provide more variety. Some cards are depicted with simple painterly portraits, and they look like the typical cards you’d find in a Magic: The Gathering pack.
Others choose to lean into Fallout’s unique aesthetic a little more. Some cards have been re-imagined using the Pip Boy, a handy gadget worn on the wrist that allows vault dwellers to listen or check if they are in the right place. There are also some cards depicted in the retro edutainment cartoon style of Fallout’s in-universe propaganda, starring the cheerful Vault Boy.
