Fall Guys Lets Players Craft Their Own Mayhem With New Creative Mode

Alongside the launch of Season 4, Fall Guys has introduced Creative Mode, giving players all the tools they need to create custom stages to play and share, and it’s available today!

Xbox Wire had the opportunity to see Creative Mode before its launch and we can confirm that it is a lot of fun. The tools are intuitive; you don’t have to be a master architect to build a challenging and chaotic level. Place a start and finish line and fill in the rest of the level with obstacles like steep ramps and bouncey obstacles.

Miguel Rafael was also available to answer questions about Creative Mode and how it is designed to be open to all. If you do see Miguel in a lobby with you, make sure you definitely DON’T grab him, he’s let us know that he has a hard time getting Crowns as it is…

Xbox Wire – Why did it feel great to bring Fall Guys creative into Fall Guys?

Miguel Rafael We knew that players were hungry for Fall Guys’ content and that Creative was the most effective way to feed that appetite. It is all about putting the power to shape the Fall Guys experience and universe directly into players’ hands.

Creative is designed to give players the freedom they want, but still respects their limitations.

MR:Players can mix and match the obstacles they like, move them around, change their attributes, such as strength and speed. While we respect the constraints of working levels, our ultimate goal is to be free!

In order to give players the ability to redefine Fall Guys levels, we want to extend our editor. Keep an eye out for the latest updates. Fall Guys are coming to Creative with some treats you’ve never seen before!

How has the tool been used to create things? Has anything surprised you about the results?

RM: The Creative team has created the entire new round for the season! It’s the highest number of levels that we have shipped during a single season. And yes, during every playtest, the team would say, “Wait, what? Can you do this in Creative?!” There are some really unbelievable races this season.

Could a player’s mode become so popular that it gets added to the main game?

RM: Yes! Players’ levels selected by our team will make their way into the Show Selector! Fall Guys’ Creative FAQ has more information about how you can feature your Round!

How can you explain the features of Creative and give examples?

RM: In Fall Guys there’s only one item type that matters: OBSTACLES. Luckily, we’ve added plenty of them, including classic obstacles, fan favorites, and a brand new one for the season launch. Feel free to use them to your heart’s content – there’s no wrong way to be creative!

What about custom palettes or changing colors of items?

RM: The majority of obstacles and building block colors can be altered. We hope to add more colors in the future to allow creators to have even greater freedom.

What are the latest updates that players can look forward to?

RM: You want to make me spill my top-secret info?

Creative will be getting more and new obstacles. Same goes for Round Types! That’s all I can say about that for now, but we can’t wait to show everyone the endless possibilities with Fall Guys Creative!
