Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder trailer shows live-action sequel series
Timmy Turner is back with his Fairy Godparents in this live-action series. The Fairly OddParents – Fairly Odder will follow Cosmo and Wanda as they take on the role of godparents for Timmy’s cousin. There are many references to animated series from the past in this trailer. Paramount Plus will premiere the series on March 31, with the first trailer.
We get our first glimpse at Timmy Turner (Caleb Pierce), now an older man who appears to be visiting his uncle, and greeting his cousin Viv. (Audrey Grace Marshall) Timmy immediately reveals Wanda and Cosmo to his cousin, and then turns them over for Viv to take care of her and her stepbrother Tyler Wladis. The fairies instantly assist the kids in creating magic, referencing the original song.
This isn’t the first time Cosmo, Wanda, and Timmy have made their way to live-action. There were 3 live-action movies featuring Drake Bell playing Timmy. These films brought the fairies to life as CGI creations. Thankfully, the new series brings in the fairies in a style that looks a little closer to the original cartoon, but it still won’t quite be what ’90s kids remember. It also seems like those older movies probably aren’t canon for the series, in case that was a concern.
Together with the live action cast Fairly StrangeDaran Norris will return as Cosmo and Susanne Blaslee both as Wanda.
