Slime Rancher 2Monomi Park, a game previewer for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11, Monomi Park has been hard at work on expanding Rainbow Island and the roster of wiggly, jiggly residents that call it home. Today, we’re excited to bring you our first major content update, Song of the Sabers, featuring an entirely new wintery wonderland biome to explore.

When Beatrix leBeau finds a mysterious glacier just off Ember Valley, known as Powderfall Bluffs, your adventure begins. It is like a gigantic, icy capsule that contains prehistoric Saber Slimes. The new biome also has a rich supply of craft materials and unusual, auroral anomalies.

These are just a few new things you’ll find in Powderfall Bluffs.

Let it snow!

Rainbow Island offers a unique way to enjoy the natural beauty and white fluffy snow that surrounds it. But don’t linger, because this snowy sanctuary is home to Saber Slimes — a ferocious blast from the past! Although thought long gone, the prehistoric predators are still found amongst Powderfall Bluffs’ snowdrifts.

Enjoy the Northern Lights

Powderfall Bluffs is home to a variety of auroral anomalies, which paint the world with beautiful haunting light. You can walk upon these anomalies at night to see the most intense light, which will allow you to scale new mountain tops. But you must act fast before they vanish with the dawn…

You can now build new gadgets

New resources such as Perfect Snowflakes or Sun Sap can be used to create new Gadgets, like the Snowball Machine or Snowglobe. You can create an icy snowball machine anywhere and capture the essence of winter by using the huge Snowglobe. Powderfall Bluffs is a new place that offers many benefits to anyone who has the ability to collect valuable resources from its cold peaks.

Snowball Fights

Slimes love to play in the snow and won’t hesitate to start a snowball fight with you and other slimes! When you toss snowballs at slimes, they’ll toss snowballs right back at you and at each other. Hmm, maybe we should have added a “duck” button…
