Airships

Transport is the primary means of transport in Black SkylandsThe majestic airship is a magnificent sight. You’ll encounter several types of ships, differing in characteristics such as size, the number of cannons, speed, maneuverability, and more. Easily pilot the ships using an Xbox controller – the ship will follow the direction of the joystick flawlessly!

It is normal for you to start your voyage on a small vessel. As you advance in the game you will be able to access more powerful vessels. You’ll also be able to customize and upgrade them using collected resources, but approach this wisely as resources are limited and won’t cover all upgrades at once!

There are many options to customize your ship. You can upgrade sails, engine, hulls or weaponry. When it comes to weapons, captains are able to select from different types of cannons or machine guns as well as their firing patterns. Some weapons are designed for small targets while others can be used against fortified and larger opponents.

World Exploration and Sky Battles

The skys of Black SkylandsYou will find floating islands waiting for you to explore in order to collect valuable loot. However, you’ll also encounter numerous random and equally rewarding and exciting events.

Pirate Cruisers

There are many variations in massive pirate ships, with each having its own unique features. They also have a huge crew of elite sailors. These ships require different tactics. One of the cruisers, for example, has a huge cannon rotating constantly toward your ship. One cruiser is equipped with cannons, and the other weapons are aimed at your ship. You must attack from specific angles to avoid being hit by barrages.

Remind yourself that you ship has an energy shield, which is able to absorb and reflect damage. This feature requires a lot of time to charge. You can board an enemy vessel after the battle for a close-up fight with their crews and to take valuable loot from inside.

Kraken

This mythical creature is now in the sky! It can grab your ship suddenly with its giant tentacles, and hold it there until you beat it. Eva, your captain, is attacked by the Kraken with increasingly rapid attacks. If you manage to overcome it, you’ll be rewarded with valuable loot and trophies for your Fathership!

Volcanic Island

On your journey, you may come across an erupting volcanic island! You should be cautious when approaching it as the lava stones can harm your ship. You can claim the treasures of the volcano by making your way across the lava.

Don’t worry, not all activities are as dangerous and chaotic! You’ll encounter other peaceful travelers in need of your help to repair or refuel their ships. You can also fish from the air! In a local sushi bar, you can trade your catch in for valuable prizes.

Join the Swarm

Swarm Zone – one of most dangerous areas of the map with valuable loot!

The swarm enemy attacks in large groups. Therefore, your ship should be prepared and have special weapons to counter them.

Swarms behave differently from other enemies and require a different approach in battles. You will have to decide how you are going to handle flying insects that ram into your ship, kamikaze beetles with explosives and web-spreading spiders. Swarms of Swarm enemies await you on the darkest reaches of the earth!
