Airships

Transport is the primary means of transport in Black SkylandsThe majestic airship is a magnificent sight. You’ll encounter several types of ships, differing in characteristics such as size, the number of cannons, speed, maneuverability, and more. Easily pilot the ships using an Xbox controller – the ship will follow the direction of the joystick flawlessly!

Your journey begins on a basic vessel, as is the norm for novices. You will have access to more powerful ships as you play the game. You’ll also be able to customize and upgrade them using collected resources, but approach this wisely as resources are limited and won’t cover all upgrades at once!

Sails, engines, hulls and weaponry can all be upgraded. When it comes to weapons, captains are able to select from different types of cannons or machine guns as well as their firing patterns. Depending on the size of your target, some weapons are best suited to smaller ones while others work well against fortified and larger opponents.

World Exploration and Sky Battles

The skys of Black SkylandsThere are many floating islands that await your exploration to find valuable loot. However, you’ll also encounter numerous random and equally rewarding and exciting events.

Pirate Cruisers

You may come across several different variations of huge pirate cruisers. Each has its own features, and each crew is made up of many elite sailors. The tactics for each of these ships are different. A cruiser, for instance, may have a cannon which rotates constantly towards your ship. A second cruiser has a variety of weapons, including cannons. It requires specific angles of approach to avoid damaging barrages.

Keep in mind that the ship you are piloting has a special energy shield which can reflect enemy projectiles and absorb any damage. This feature requires some time to charge. Board enemy ships after a battle to engage in close combat and claim the loot they have stored.

Kraken

The mythical Kraken has even reached the heavens! It can grab your ship suddenly with its giant tentacles, and hold it there until you beat it. Eva, your captain, is attacked by the Kraken with increasingly rapid attacks. If you manage to overcome it, you’ll be rewarded with valuable loot and trophies for your Fathership!

Volcanic Isle

On your journey, you may come across an island where a volcano is erupting! As you get closer, be careful as flying rocks of lava can cause damage to your ship. You can claim the treasures of the volcano by making your way across the lava.

Don’t worry, not all activities are as dangerous and chaotic! You’ll encounter other peaceful travelers in need of your help to repair or refuel their ships. You can also fish from the air! In a local sushi bar, you can trade your catch in for some valuable prizes.

Swarm up with us

Swarm Zone – one of the treacherous zones on the map – offers a wealth of valuable loot, worthy of even the bravest Captains.

Your ship must be equipped with weapons that can counter such enemies.

Swarms behave differently from other enemies and require a different approach in battle. You will have to decide how you are going to handle flying insects that ram into your ship, or exploding Kamikaze Beetles. Swarm is full of enemies in dark corners of the globe!
