Exoprimal Stomps Back Into Action
Capcom today revealed new details about Exoprimal at its summer showcase. In this action and shooting title, players will control exosuit-clad warriors who are fighting off rampaging dinos. An out-of-control AI called Leviathan is unleashing these dinosaurs through rifts in the sky, and forcing humans to fight them off in intricate (and frankly inexplicable) wargames – usually at high risk of death and destruction of urban landscapes.
Exoprimal’s major event, Dino Survival is where five people join together to form a team and face off against each other in order to accomplish very specific goals.
They are diverse and highly dynamic. Dinosaur Cull requires that your team hunt down and kill a specific dinosaur. VTOL Defense requires that you protect an airplane on the ground from being attacked by charging reptiles. Data Key Security, a mission that is escort-style, requires you to deliver an asset from one place to another. Omega Charge allows players to access a powerful Omega Hammer that can be used for swarm clearing. You might also be familiar with Energy Taker which is about getting more energy than the opposition team.
Exoprimal has a mix of sequences that you direct engage with enemy players and moments in which you join forces to eliminate dangerous threats. No matter who you’re fighting against, you’ll earn XP to power up both your player character and their exosuit levels.
Capcom revealed that Exoprimal is soon entering a closed-network test. This should allow gamers to try the action. If you’re interested, you can sign up at exoprimal.com.
Exoprimal expects to have the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S released by Exoprimal sometime around 2023.
