Environmental Thriller, The Forest Cathedral, Hits PS5 This Halloween
Forest Cathedral, an ecological thriller, was launched on Xbox Series X/S/PC and PC in March. Now, Play Informer Can exclusively reveal that it will be released on PlayStation 5 October 31. This is a fantastic spooky holiday experience.
For the uninitiated, The Forest Cathedral is inspired by events surrounding real-life scientist Rachel Carson’s investigation into Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, otherwise known as the harmful DDT pesticide. Whitethorn Games describes this game as “a dramatic remake of Carson’s book on environmental science”. Silent Spring.”
The Forest Cathedral PS5 Release Date Trailer is below.
The Forest Cathedral lets players play as Rachel on her mysterious island, where she is a field researcher biologist. Rachel’s weekly tasks become more horrifying when she learns what DDT has done to the island. Whitethorn claims that players will “slowly uncover the horrifying effects of the DDT pesticide by using advanced environmental technology in order to solve puzzles which weave together 3D exploring with 2D platforms.”
The gameplay is split between Rachel Carson, a 3D character in her own world, and the Little Man inside Rachel’s 2D scanning tool world. In this 2D environment, players can solve puzzles and take on platforming challenges.
Forest Cathedral is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PC and Steam. The PS5 version will be released on Halloween.
