Enjoy A Summer Of Horrors in Dying Light 2 Stay Human
Summer. A time to unwind… but not in The City. Summer of Horrors brings a variety of events, updates, crossovers and additions to The City. Keep Human: Dying light 2Good Night, Good Luck is the update that kicks off this new period. Update v. 1.1 promises darkened nights and an updated parkour to improve the zombie game. Believe us, you’ll be #dying2survive.
“At Summer Game Fest, we said that this was going to be an events season like our players have never seen before,” states Tymon Smektała, Dying Light Franchise Director. “The Good Night, Good Luck update is just the start of what’s to come, with the improvements we’ve made to the night experience to make it more daunting, dangerous and deadly, as well as giving Pilgrims more control with the addition of Physical Parkour. There’s plenty more on the way with Summer of Horrors, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it!”

We’re always listening to feedback from our community and thinking about what we can do to make our game even more enjoyable for them. According to the feedback and data we’ve attained, it was clear that our players wanted a more advanced form of the parkour that was already in the game and to add more terror with roaming Volatiles, the apex predator of our universe. So, that’s what we’ve done.
Updated version of the game will feature scarier night (similar to those in original). Dying lightIt will also give you a better sense of freedom as you run around Villedor. You will never again feel safe when the sun goes down, and you’ll be more liberated to run from roof to roof!
The Night of Fear
Villedor’s darkness is thicker than usual after the sun goes down. What is that you can barely see at night? Is it your friend or foe? Or maybe it’s an inanimate object and your mind is playing tricks on you? Now that the dangers lurking in darkness are more concealed, there is a growing sense of fear. Volatiles, who are on the prowl for the next victim in the city streets will further increase the level of tension. We guess you could just sit in a safe zone all night, but where’s the fun in that?

You must run or die!
To achieve this, we’ve added Physical Parkour. This will allow you to experience the rush of a freerunner as they race across rooftops and take leaps of faith down to a platform below. To do that, we’ve added Physical Parkour, which will allow you to feel the flow, the control in the air and the speed you’re traveling at even more. If you hear a shriek or footsteps in the night, you’ll be able to use all the moves in your parkour arsenal to escape towards the light. In Settings, you can select between Physical Parkour and Assisted Parkour. Physical Parkour is more realistic and responsive. Assisted Parkour allows for easier control over the character.

It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. Humanity is dying slowly because the virus has won. Aiden Caldwell is a Pilgrim, who travels to deliver goods and news in the barren, zombie-ravaged lands. Your true objective is to locate your sister Mia who was left behind when you were a child to avoid Dr. Waltz’s tortured experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.
You soon find yourself in an area torn apart by war. You’ll need to engage in creative and gory combat, so hone your skills to defeat hordes of zombies and make allies. Roam the city, free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot in remote areas, and be wary of the night. Monsters are unleashed on the city streets with every sunset.
A World after the Apocalypse
Fifteen years ago, humanity was devastated by the Fall — a catastrophic event that would change the world forever. The Harran virus spread around the world, and people soon realized that there was no hope of a better tomorrow. By 2036, only a few settlements remain, and humanity is slowly dying, making way for the new species out there — a horde of relentless zombies.
DAY’S FOR THE LIVING, NIGHT’S FOR THE DEAD
Villedor – one of last bastions for humanity. In the morning, some survivors try to live a normal life and maintain a sense of false normalcy. As the day goes by, survivors continue to form relationships, dream of their futures, and live life as normal. On the surface, everything seems… fine. Then, it’s sunset. As the light fades out, the occupants of The City, who are more terrifying, crawl from their dark interiors and take over the streets. You may not return if you do not stay vigilant or linger in the darkness for too long.
You must move to survive
All fights are not won. Sometimes it’s best to run and, thankfully, you have the skills for it. When the odds are against you, parkour allows you to escape. You can zipline, jump from one rooftop to another, or swing through the cityscape. Whatever you do, experience a unique sense of freedom as you free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot or while running away from the dangers of the night.
Get brutal and be creative about it
In such a hazardous world, only those who are the most resilient will survive. You have to get creative to survive, whether you smash, slice, or dismember anyone who stands in your path. Who says that you have to use weapons? Use your entire parkour moveset to gain the upper hand on your opponents. You can feel the crunch as you use weapons and your parkour moves to fight off danger. And let’s not forget that Villedor has weapons that put the most advanced post-apocalyptic armories to shame.
Four piggrimmers are better than one
With friends, it’s much easier to stay alive in Villedor. Join forces with 3 or more players to increase your odds. You can unravel the story, complete Pilgrim’s Outpost challenges together or just cause havoc in the streets.
