Elden Ring’s new Game Awards trailer reveals more story
FromSoftware’s next big game, Elden Ring, got a new trailer at The Game Awards on Thursday, and this one’s dripping in the lore that author George R.R. Martin was a part of the game’s creation with Hidetaka Mikaziki, its director. One character, known as the Storyteller, provides a quick history lesson about Elden Ring, Lands Between and the forthcoming conflict players will encounter next year.
Fans of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls games will feel right at home here; the new trailer for Elden RingIt is the type of lengthy, detailed lore that predates many Dark Souls games. This may make it difficult to understand at first. But like FromSoft’s other action-role-playing games, players will piece together the story and their role in it over the course of the game.
Elden RingE3 2019 was the first time it was announced. FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin collaborated to create the fantasy role-playing and action game. Elden RingOn February 25, 2022, it will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (Windows PC), Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
