Elden Ring Speedrunner Beats Game In Under Three Hours Without Dying

Elden Ring’s popularity and success know no bounds. Many of us still struggle against the bosses in early-game Legacy Dungeons and those that lurk within them. However, there are some lucky (and skilled) people who are running through the game quickly. One such speedrunner beat Elden Ring in under three hours, and they did it convincingly: they didn’t suffer a single death.

The legend Tarnished: The two-and-a-half-hour-long playthrough by niko bellic, an obvious tribute to Liberty City’s everyman, saw them riding on horses and racing past non-essential bosses. EurogamerThe Elden Ring speedrunning experience can be compared to Breath of the Wild. Players found new ways to challenge Ganon despite their being extremely under-leveled. It’s safe to say that niko bellic had to surmount similar restrictions as the only runes they likely collected were from a smattering of grunts and, primarily, mainline bosses. Although you can see the speedrun below, there are some spoilers for story or gameplay.

Our very own Dan Tack awarded Elden Ring a perfect 10 out of 10 and fell in love with the lore, various tense encounters, and the overall sense of player agency and discovery. His review concluded with the following:

“Elden Ring challenged me, captivated me, and enchanted me, an unyielding deluge of discovery and artistic vision unbound. Elden Ring is a remarkable combination of different game elements, which all combine to make something unique, memorable, and fascinating. Elden Ring isn’t just the best game this year; it’s one of the best games ever made.”

As a newcomer to From Software games, I can’t help but agree.
