Earthworm Jim 2 And More Games Added To Switch Online In March Update

Nintendo just in time to make the news, releasing the March update on games added to the Nintendo Switch Online Service.

F-Zero X, a new addition to the Nintendo 64’s collection, was also added, along with a trio Sega Genesis titles. Now, three additional games for the NES or SNES libraries are now available. Switch Online subscribers can now load and enjoy these games right away.

Earthworm Jim 2 – SNES

“In this wild platformer released for the Super NES™ console in 1995, you worm your way back into your super suit and take on the role of Jim, the annelid with attitude!”

This is the first Earthworm Jim game to join the Nintendo Switch Online Service, as well as the only SNES title added this month. Earthworm Jim 2 is a hilarious platformer with a comedic feel that smells like the 1990s.

Dig Dug II – NES

DIG DUG decided to go on vacation to remote islands, but FYGAR and POOKA will not let him. Clear out your enemies each round by either inflating them so they explode or setting traps that allow them to fall. Be careful not to get too close and fall in your traps!

Dig Dug II differs from the arcade-style gameplay of Dig Dug. While you still have the option to inflate enemy, your objective is now to destroy strategic parts of an island and eliminate them. Dig Dig II for NES was released originally in 1989.

Mappy–Land – NES

MAPPY Jr. has received many wonderful presents from MAPPY the police mice. But the big cheese of the feline world, NYAMCO, has ordered his clowder ‘MEOWKIES’ to hide the presents throughout MAPPYLAND.”

In Japan, this sequel to Namco arcade favorite Mappy was made available on the NES. North America got a localized edition in 1989. Mappy–Land resurfaced in 2015 for purchase on the Wii U Virtual Console.
