EA Sports FC 24 Revealed With September Release Date
EA Sports announced EA Sports FC 24 during today’s livestream. This is the successor to its hugely popular FIFA franchise. EA Sports’ decision to no longer use the FIFA licence was made public last year. We got our first peek at their new soccer game today.
EA Sports has a big marketing pitch for its new technology this year. EA Sports’ proprietary Frostbite Engine returns with improvements, such as the Sapien character models skeletons that were first featured in our Madden NFL 24 coverage. This skeleton allows players to look as real as possible when they are standing or moving, and this affects the visuals of the game. Frostbite includes GPU cloth this year, which will allow players’ uniforms to react like they would in real life to the player’s movements. New animations will be added to the matchday experience. These scenes and animations show the game happening all around the field, rather than just the playing surface.
HyperMotionV, the big technology that is new to this release, has been introduced. It is claimed that this technology will translate the real-world rhythm and fluidity into EA Sports FC24. This technology allows a player to perform a move in real life that’s not in the game. HyperMotionV then uses volumetric capture in a matter of days to create precise animations for that move, making it available in the game quicker than ever. It sounds impressive, so it makes sense when EA Sports says the HyperMotionV technology is only present in the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions of EA Sports FC 24.
This year’s version of the game includes a system called PlayStyles. PlayStyles, which uses Opta Optimization to enhance the in-game ratings of this series in new and exciting ways, brings athletes to life. PlayStyles are designed to give players and stars unique capabilities that will help create an authentic pitch experience.
EA Sports also announced new leagues coming to the game, including Liga F and Frauen-Bundesliga, which will join existing leagues like Laliga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Conmebol Libertadores. EA Sports also announced a renewal of their exclusive agreement with UEFA. This means that EA Sports FC 24, the company’s only game, will be the place where you can enjoy UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League. Finally, we learned that the FC series secured a long-term renewal with the Premier League.
EA Sports has also announced Erling Haaland, the Manchester City player who will be on its cover for FC 24, as this year’s star. EA Sports FC24 launches September 29 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4, Xbox One Switch, PC, Switch, Switch Pro, Switch and PC. The Ultimate Edition includes early access beginning September 22.
