EA Is Developing PS4, Xbox One Ports Of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic Arts revealed that they are working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for both PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One.
He did so during EA’s company Q1 earnings call yesterday, as reported by The Verge. Survivor launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC earlier this year, in April, and received critical acclaim – Play InformerIt was rated 9.25 by the critics, which makes it an essential game. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was launched for the PS4 and Xbox One, but this game skipped that generation.
“Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” Wilson said during the call, according to The Verge.
Fallen Order launched on PS4 and Xbox One with some technical difficulties, and while Survivor wasn’t perfect on that front, it performed a lot better on the now current-gen hardware. The performance of the game on previous-generation hardware will be very interesting. Fallen Order was not able to run smoothly. It’s unclear when we can expect the Survivor port. IGN reports that Wilson said the port is “in the early stages of development.”
