E3 2023 Will Return To LA With Star Wars Celebration Organizer ReedPop

After a three year hiatus, E3 will be back at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the second week in June 2023. 

E3 lost its last event in 2019 and, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, 2020 was cancelled. It skipped out on 2021 and 2022 as well, but E3 is set to return next year, this time with the help of ReedPop, a formidable name in the world of organized events such as this. ReedPop is an organizer/event producer for PAX, Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic-Con. 

According to a press release, “The show will feature back journalists, editors, content creators as well as buyers and licensers. Digital showcases will be highlighted and consumer components displayed in person at the event. Look out for AAA revelations and earth-shaking premieres around the world, along with exclusive access to the future video games. 

ReedPop President Lance Fensterman said it was an honour and privilege to be able to bring E3 back in 2023. He also stated that the ESA’s endorsement and support will allow ReedPop to create a new, more global event “to serve the global gambling industry in new and wider ways.” Kyle MarsdenKish, ReedPop’s global vice-president of gaming will oversee the new E3 team as well as its global live gaming event responsibilities. According to him, the E3 team was formed after years of listening and studying international feedback. Marsden Kish stated that they have plans to change what did not work, and create a new standard for E3 in 2023. 

Stanley Pierre-Louis (CEO and President of ESA) writes that E3 will be returning as an event in person. “We are excited to have ReedPop back,” Stanley Pierre-Louis wrote in a press release. E3 has proven to be the best event for our industry in three years. ReedPop is a world-class team of talent with a deep understanding of video games, and will enhance E3’s experience for many years to come. 

After a major security breach that saw hundreds of thousands of personal information, including addresses and phone numbers, being exposed online by hackers, the ESA announced that “a simplified and secure media registration process for E3 2023” will be implemented in the latter part of 2022. The company says that exhibitions and hotel guides as well as event schedules will all be available in the next few months.
