E3 2023 Dates Announced, Will Have Separate Industry And Public Days

After the cancellation in 2022 of E3, the Entertainment Software Association announced (ESA) that E3 would be returning next year to its original location. Now we know when the event will take place and how it will run.

E3 2023 is held at Los Angeles Convention Center on Tuesday, June 13th through Friday June 16th. The annual digital press conferences, which are held by first- and third-party publishers each year, will take place just a few days earlier, at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. They begin on June 11. 

ESA further states that admission to the event will be open on separate days for both industry professionals as well as the general public. E3 Business Days is for developers, media, and publishers. It will take place from June 13-15. The December deadline for media registration is 

E3 Gamer Days will take place June 15-16. Fans will have access to the floor. At this point, there is no deadline for registration. E3 has been open to the public since 2017. This is a problem in terms of crowd attendance. E3’s dividing structure should be the same as that of events like Tokyo Game Show.   

ReedPop, the PAX/New York Comic-Con organizer will be directing E3 2023. ReedPop has pledged to transform E3 2023 into a world-class event that will serve the international gaming industry. E3 was last held at the LA Convention Center in person in 2019. Pandemic caused the cancellation of the 2020 E3 show. In 2021, it was only digital.
