Dying Light Next-Gen Patch Announced, More Details Coming At A Later Date

Dying Light launched in 2015. Techland has provided a lot of support to the game, including content rollouts and a Platinum Edition. There was also a surprise Nintendo Switch port. Brian Shea was a senior editor who enjoyed the experience of playing through Dying Light. His review concluded by saying that “despite technical and parkour errors, the rewarding combat mechanics as well as the well-executed story and superb cooperative multiplayer make it a joy to play in the shadows the impending apocalypse.” Dying Light delivers an excellent experience from almost every angle.

Now, Techland is bringing the first chapter in its parkour-zombie-slaying series to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with a next-gen patch.

The official Dying Light twitter account responded to the fans who longed for 60fps. The tweet (seen above) states, “We’re currently working on a next-gen patch for Dying Light 1 – more details coming in the future :)” Additionally, the game’s ESRB page was recently updated with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch listed as the current platforms. The patch may be released sooner than expected.

Dying light 2 Stay Human improves upon the mechanics and world of the first game. We won’t be seeing any of our friends because Stay Human is set 15 years after Kyle Crane’s story. However, fluid parkour and complex player choices will continue to drive the gameplay experience. The second chapter of the franchise’s story will be released in early 2019, after years of silence on the radio and delays. Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka, however, voiced that this shouldn’t worry fans as “[the]We are now playing the game. We are proud to say that this is the most ambitious, large-scale and complex project we have ever undertaken.”

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is available on PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 Xbox One. It will launch for PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Xbox One, as well the PC. We have not yet announced the release date of Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s next-gen update, but will keep you informed.
