Dune 2 release date, casting, characters, and what we know so far

The Dune Part Deux is fast approaching, bringing with it giant sandworms, Timothée Chalamet in a stillsuit, Zendaya getting more screentime this time out, and the return of desert power. The follow-up to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. Set for release in Novembre, the trailer already shows some of it’s new cast.

We know a lot, but we still need to learn Dune – Part Two’s release date, its new character roster, and its cast, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the sequel, even though it’s an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s nearly 60-year-old sci-fi novel. To catch you up before the movie’s release, here’s everything we know so far about Dune: Part two.

Has Dune 2 released a trailer?

Yes. This is the first trailer. The Dune Part DeuxThe film was released in May and gives a glimpse of some of the plot of the sequel, as well as a look at new characters including Princess Irulan Harkonnen.

Dune: Part twoThe movie will be released in theaters Nov. 3 2023. The 2021 remake was a disappointment. Dune, the sequel won’t stream from day one on HBO Max (which will soon be known simply as Max). The film was initially scheduled to debut in October but Warner Bros. delayed Dune: Part Two’s release slightlyThe premiere will be pushed back by a couple of weeks.

Who’s new in the cast of Dune 2?

Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (Midsommar() will play Princess Irulan, a Bene Gesserit with a romantic relationship to Paul. The next nominee is also an Oscar winner. Austin Butler (ElvisThe Oscar-winning actress (Feyd Rautha Harkonnen) plays Feyd Rautha Harkonnen. She is the cruel, cunning and calculating nephew of Baron Harkonnen. Oscar-winner Christopher WalkenWill also be joining the cast in the role of Emperor Shaddam corrino IV. He is the ruler of universe during the time period of the story and father to Princess Irulan. What’s the story of Dune 2?

There is a post with a lot of spoilers on the second half. Dune the novel, if you’re looking for a more detailed answer. The short answer is: If you’d rather save all the surprises until the film, then the long version would be that Dune: Part two will cover the second half of Herbert’s book, as Paul continues his rise to power and seeks revenge against the Harkonnen family.

There will be a sequel to Dune?
