Donkey Kong Lego Sets Join The Super Mario Lineup

Lego and Nintendo announced that four new Donkey Kong Sets will be joining the Super Mario line-up. 

Lego continues to expand its Nintendo Universe of Sets with Super Mario. Super Mario Bros. MovieDonkey Kong, a key character from the film that was released in cinemas this past month, is now part of the line-up. Donkey Kong will appear in four sets that are available to purchase from August 1. They also include his friends Cranky and Diddy and Dixie. 

These four expansion sets include Donkey Kong’s Tree House Expansion Set; Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart Ride Expansion Set; Dixie Kong’s Jungle Jam Expansion Set and Rambi the Rhino Expansion Set. 

Simon Kent, the design director at Lego Group writes in a release that “the excitement for Lego Super Mario continues to grow with yet another playful update.” The iconic Donkey Kong is joining the LEGO Super Mario range. The four Expansion Sets will inspire children to explore a new colorful and wild jungle in the Donkey Kong world, whether it’s by hanging out on the treehouse, riding the mine cart, playing with Dixie Kong, exploring with Rambi, etc.

Donkey Kong Tree House Expansion Set

Diddy Kong’s Mine Cart Ride Expander Set

Dixie Kong’s Jungle Jam Expansion Set

Rambi The Rhino Expansion set

Lego will release all four sets and some retailers in August 2023.
