Disney Plus’ new Willow series gets a fun new trailer at D23 Expo

Lucasfilm’s new WillowDisney Plus will be bringing back Warwick Davis, the main character of the do-gooder series. The trailer shows that the new show promises a lot fantasy-infused humor. And at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday, one more member of the cast was confirmed for WillowChristian Slater is a character who appears to be Madmartigan’s secret friend. He was originally played by Val Kilmer.

Willow’s newest trailer is filled with action, magic, and plenty of humor, and doesn’t require much knowledge of the original movie to appreciate — it has Warwick Davis in it, after all, who seems to be having the time of his life returning to the sorcerer Willow Ufgood. Davis will be joined by WillowDempsey Bryk and Amar Chadha–Patel play the younger cast of adventurers. Tony Revolori, Ruby Cruz and Erin Kellyman also star. Solo: A Star Wars Story). Original Willow hit movie theaters in 1988, but Lucas conceived of his fantasy adventure in the early ’70s, and chose Davis — who had appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as an Ewok — to be his leading man. This fantasy movie tells Willow’s story as she defends Elora Danan (an infant) from an evil queen.

WillowDisney Plus will make its debut on November 30th.
