Disney Plus jumps into K-drama with Snowdrop starring Blackpink’s Jisoo
Disney will bring the Korean-language drama to America Snowdrop, which stars Jung Hae-In (Listen to Love) and Blackpink’s Jisoo, to its Disney Plus streaming service, the company announced Monday.
Schneedrop is a period drama that follows Eun Yeong-ro (Jisoo), a student at a women’s university in Seoul. The university is visited by a stranger (Jung Hae In), who changes her life. They fall in a forbidden relationship that places them at risk due to a deadly secret about the country.
Schneedrop Yoo Hyun-mi wrote the script and Jo Hyun-tak directed it. They had previously collaborated on this series. Sky Castle. This is the first K-drama starring role for Jisoo, who’s best known as an international K-pop star as one of the four members of Blackpink.
