Disney Dreamlight Valley won’t be free-to-play at launch
Disney Dreamlight ValleEarly Access will end on December 5. At its release, the cozy life-simulation had been planned as a free-to play game with in-game purchase. The developers have announced the game’s continued payment.
“This choice ensures that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be able to continue delivering on a premium game experience for all players,” explained the developers in a blog post. “It’s important to us that we maintain our promise to keep delivering free content updates that add new characters, realms, clothing, furniture, and more surprises to your Valley.”
There will be many different editions to choose from in the future: Disney Dreamlight ValleyThe price of the game is $39.99. Disney Dreamlight Valley: Cozy Edition The price will be $49.99, which includes a physical version of the game, 14,500 Moonstones and skins for 5 companion raccoons as well as an actual poster and sticker sheet. Disney Dreamlight Valley: Gold EditionThis digital-only version will cost $69.99 and include the expansion. You’ll also get 15,000 Moonstones as well as an animal companion that looks like a floral capybara, a summer cottage with flowers, and a brand new avatar outfit.
Whoever owns this game prior to Dec. 5, will have access to cosmetic items that are exclusive to Gold Edition. Also, they will receive 2,500 Moonstones as a gift.
Dec. 5 will also mark the release of the game’s first paid expansion, dubbed The Rift in Time. Rapunzel is introduced. TangledEve WALL-EGaston and the gang Beauty and the Beast. On Nov. 1, more information will be released during the livestream.
