Get ready for longships! Discovery Tour: Viking AgeToday’s launch of the standalone version is for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The standalone version allows curious players to explore and interact with Viking history and traditions — without needing to own Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (for which) Discovery Tour: Viking Age’s content is also available as part of a free patch).
The Discovery Tourseries is an immersive education experience that draws inspiration from the worlds and cultures of Assassin’s Creed. Viking AgeExpands on the formula of the previous Egypt in Ancient TimesAnd Ancient GreeceInstalments, pivoting to place narrative and interactivity central. Viking AgeThe story takes in historical characters and other original characters and puts them into narrative-driven quests. This allows players to learn about that period through immersion. Discovery Tour: Viking AgeThe storyline features eight quests that take place in England, Asgard, Norway and Jotunheim. Players have the option to view the ninth century both from a Viking or Anglo-Saxon perspective.
