Dinosaur Survival Game The Lost Wild Gets Suspenseful New Trailer

Annapurna Interactive’s showcase ended today with the debut of The Lost Wild: Great Ape Games, a dinosaur-laden survival strategy game.

The Lost Wild was first announced last October with a pre-alpha trailer and is described as a first-person survival horror game. The radio voice of a mysterious figure guides players as an investigator to discover abandoned Japanese buildings that are hidden in a forest filled with ancient wildlife. The dinos behave as animals and are intelligent, and Great Ape calls them self-preservation and reactive AI. 

Stealth can be used to hide while they explore, cause distractions or repel them using non-lethal items such as flares. You’ll spend much of the game scrounging for materials as you traverse ruins for clues about the island’s history and how you ended up in this dire situation. 

According to the game’s FAQ, The Lost Wild won’t be arriving until late 2024 or early 2025. The game has already been confirmed via Steam, but it will be available on unspecified platforms as well.
