Devolver Delays The Plucky Squire, Skate Story, Anger Foot, Pepper Grinder, And Stick It To The Stickman To 2024
Devolver Digital announced that it would be delaying a lot of titles. Devolver, in a parody Nintendo Direct video, released the “Devolver Delayed Showcase”, which told players about games that they wouldn’t get to play until 2023. The showcase highlights five games in particular: The Plucky Squire, Skate Story, Anger Foot, Stick it to the Stickman, and Pepper Grinder.
One host announces, “We’ve got some great news for next year.” Another host adds “this year’s delays”. Some of our most exciting upcoming titles will be released in 2024!
A game with a 2D/3D transition is coming soon to Switch, PC, Switch Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Pixel-art platformer Pepper Grinder is currently slated to arrive on Switch and PC. Meanwhile, roguelite brawler Stick it to the Stickman, kickflipping sports-action game Skate Story, and foot-based first-person shooter Anger Foot are currently only listed for PC.

Devolver Digital has had a solid 2023, with titles like Terra Nil receiving positive reviews, fan-favorite Bleak Sword DX making its way to Switch and PC, and new content for Cult of the Lamb, but today’s delays are sure to disappoint some. However, by this point in time, many players recognize that it’s better to delay a game than to launch it before it’s ready, and with Gunbrella and The Talos Principle 2 still slated for 2023, the indie publisher still has seemingly a lot in store for fans before the calendar changes over to 2024.
