Destiny 2’s new raid is already making players nervous for Lightfall

Destiny 2: Witch Queen’s new raid is filled with juicy lore bits, but one section in particular has the community nervous.
The Vow of the Disciple raid has one wall that displays a list of possible symbols. Only one to two are lit per run. The symbols appear in the exact same spots every time they are seen, and never change. The symbols can be used to signify a secret message by players who have collected them from the community.

Prophecy
“Hive scorn hate darkness worship witness pyramid fleet enter Earth stop guardian witness communist traveler drink light witness to kill
Unknown last symbol

The prophecy has to do with The Witness (Destiny’s newly introduced big bad) invading Earth and potentially killing Something Oder Somebody important.
It can be difficult for some to interpret the prophecy using the callouts that were made from raids. The symbols can be read if you translate them into sentences.
The Scorn, Hive and Scorn worship The Witness and love the Darkness. The Guardians are stopped when the Pyramid fleet arrives on Earth. The Witness meets the Traveler, and they drink the Light. The Witness is a murderer
It seems that the final part of what appears to be a clear prophecy has been missing. No players have yet come forward with that symbol for their raid walls. Bungie has kept players guessing about the symbol.
There are many unnerving possibilities by using just the symbol from the raid. “Traveler,” the mysterious and god-like orb that gives players their power, is the first to come to mind as The Witness’ victim. “The Guardian,” being the player character, is also unnerving.
A YouTuber named My Name Is Byf made a video explaining that every instance of a symbol that appears to players will also appear. So when players see “The Witness” symbol appear, it shows up in all three of its spots. While there are no guarantees, it seems like existing symbols already on the wall won’t appear in the final slot.
That opens up some intriguing possibilities even without Guardian, Earth, Traveler and Light. Byf pointed out that Savathun — who is technically dead in-game currently, but her Ghost is still alive, leaving her just a quick resurrection away from life — could be The Witness’ victim. It would not be logical for Savathun to go back so soon if she is resurrected. If Bungie intended to kill off Savathun, players would’ve just done it at the end of The Witch Queen campaign.
It seems that the Tower, which is where Guardians gather and run their businesses, will be the most missing symbol. If The Witness shows up to “commune with the Traveler and drink the Light,” he’ll be right above the Last City, giving him ample opportunity to destroy the Guardian’s home base.
This prophecy may be used to bring about the end of The Witch Queen’s story in a few weeks or the upcoming year’s worth of seasons, it seems more likely that this is Bungie teasing Destiny 2’s next expansion, which is not-so-subtly called “Lightfall.” If this scheme of The Witness does come to pass (and that’s still a big “if”), players will need to wait for 2023 to see it for themselves.
